6/05-8/05 Tuesday-Thursday. Classes 8-9

Hello
Last week in the context of the topic "Travelling" we were talking about Trip Prepration.
We learnt some new expressions and phrases (apply for a visa, book a flight, reserve a hotel room, buy  guidebook, change some money, pack) etc.
We also did some listening about people´s plans and preparations for holidays.

To practise more listening check these links:
Listening Link "Travel Options"
Listening Link "Travel Wish List"

I´m going to Egypt, I need to get a visa, to book  flight etc.

We learn some new grammar as well - Modal verbs (must/mustn´t, should shouldn´t, can/can´t):
You must pay a ticket in the bus. (a rule)
You mustn´t smoke here. (prohibition)
You can have some coffee here. (giving permission)
You can´t bring your own drinks. (prohibition - mild)
You should put on a helmet. (advice)
You shouldn´t go out when you feel sick. (advice)

Here are some links with the exercises to practise modal verbs:

We ´ve been practising a lot modal verbs last class: describing places using modal verbs, making our own rules and regulations for our Modal Hotel.

Also we learnt some conversational expressions:
I´d like to ... - Would you like to ... ?
I want to ... - Do you want to ... ?
I´d rather ...

We use them when we want to ask smb to go out or make an offer.

Your homework is to answer the questions about a trip you would like to take.
