Hello!

Today we´ve practised telling the time and here´re Olympic Games results:

Also we´ve learnt Demonstrative Pronouns (this/that, these/those):
This is my jacket. These are my glasses.
That dog is my neighbour´s. Those jeans are expensive.

Watch the video "This, That, These and Those" if you want to practise more.

We´ve also learnt how to use demonstratives in our daily life - when we go shopping:
How much is this newspaper?
How much are those tissues?
How much is that magazine?
How much are those postcards?

You can play a funny game - "How much is this?"and practise the prices in English.

We´ve also learnt some new words about daily routine (get up, have breakfast, leave home, get to work etc.).
Your homework is to write sentences about your daily routine. What time do you do the everyday activities?
I get up at 8 a.m. I have a shower and have breakfast at 8.30 etc.

24/10 Thursday. Class 10



Hello!
How are you after the test? Surely, you did it very well, cause you´ve been studying hard!

Today we´ve started a new topic "Daily routine" and we´ve learnt some new vocabulary: days of the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday etc.). Here´s a song for kids "Days of the Week" where you can practise it. Pay special attention to the pronunciation!

Also we´ve learnt how to tell the time:
What time is it?=What´s the time?
It´s 5 o´clock. It´s quarter past six. It´s half past seven.

Watch the video "Telling the Time" and  practise. Also there´s a funny song for kids "What´s the time?". Sing it along!

 Today we´ve been revising everything we´ve learnt so far. Quite a lot!

Also we´ve learnt some new grammar (have/has):
I have a brother.
My brother has a daughter, she is my niece.

We´ve practised possessive nouns and adjectives, family relations.

Hello! Looking forward to the weekend? Me too!

Today we´ve revised members of the family and the relations in the family using possessive case on the example of THE SIMPSON´S family:

Bart is Homer´s son.
Maggie is Patty and Selma´s niece.
Lisa is Bart´s sister.

Do you have a good memory? What are the relations in the Simpson´s family? Look at the picture and write 5 sentences using possessive case. Write your comments below!

Today we´ve been revising how to ask different questions and played a game "Guess who I am". You could guess famous people really quickly!

Also we´ve started a new topic "My Family". We´ve learnt some new vocabulary (family members - mother, father etc.)

Hey! How´re you?

Today we talked about free-time activities and hobbies! Great topic!
What do you do in your free time? (go to concerts, go out, watch TV, play sports etc.)

You can practise some vocabulary doing an on-line activity "Sports and Hobbies" and watching a video lesson "What do you like doing in your free time?".

Would you like to know what people do in their free time? Here´re two video episodes where people answer this question - Video 1 and Video 2. What hobbies do they mention?

Now your turn: What do you do in your free time? What don´t you do?
(I go out with my friends in my free time, but I don´t play video games.)


And as usual a song! A simple funny song for kids "What do you like to do". Sing along and learn some new vocabulary!

Hi there!

We´ve learnt different kinds of jobs (a police officer, a nurse, a taxi driver etc.) and a question to ask about it: What´s your job? - I´m a teacher.
To learn more jobs listen to the song "People in my Town" , write out all jobs mentioned in the song!
 
Today we´ve started a new topic "It´s my Life" and learnt new verbs (come from, live, have, like, work, eat, drink, speak, play etc.) Now we can use them in affirmative sentences and negative (using "don´t").

I don´t live in Paris, I live in Madrid.

We can also ask a general question and give short answers: Do you work in a restaurant? - No, I don´t. Do you like your job? - Yes, I do.

To practise questions and short answers listen to the song "Do you like it"

Today we´re laughing a lot, but still we´ve learnt many things.

So, now we know when to use Mr., Mrs, Miss and a new "strange" variant Ms. We also know how to ask for and give personal details:

What´s your nationality?
What´s you phone number/email address/address/postcode?
Are you married?
