10-12-17 Tuesday-Thursday-Tuesday. Classes 18-20

Hello

I´ve noticed that you have some problems with prepositions of time.
When do we use "on, at and in"?

So, today we were practising the use of prepositions and making up questions. If you still find them confusing, have some more practice - Exercise Link.

We also watched a short movie "Kung Fu Panda. Holiday" and did some comprehension tasks. It was a little bit difficult for our level, as it was totally in English. Nevertheless, we managed to understand a lot!

Also these days we did our last test on topic "The World around us". You did it pretty well. You remembered the vocabulary and grammar!

Here´s a link for you with some listenings for beginners. I hope you´ll find it useful!

Hello

as + adj. + as (if smth has similar qualities):
John is as tall as his brother.

not as + adj. + as (if smth isn´t the same):
She isn´t as intelligent as her sister. (Because her sister is more intelligent).

Also we learnt one more structure:
much + Comparative Adj. + than
This film is much funnier than the other one.

Check the following links out and do the exersices to practise the structures:

13-15/05 Tuesday-Thursday. Classes 10-11

Hello!
Sorry for a small delay in our blog.

We´ve started a new topic "The World Around Us" and learnt a lot of new words (a mountain, a cliff, a stream, an ocean, a sea, a swamp, a lake, a hill, a desert etc.)

Let´s revise the vocabulary! Watch a video and repeat the words:
Video Link "Nature"

Also we revised the adjectives and the nouns:
deep - depth
wide - width
high - height
long - length

How long is a river? - It´s 3 km long.
How high is a mountain? - It´s 6 000 m high.

We revised the comparative and superlative degrees of the adjectives. We found out some record-breaking animals and places:
What´s the largest animal in the world?
What´s the deepest ocean in the world?
What´s the most populated city in the world? etc.

Your homework is to read a grammar copy on Article The with proper names and geographical places. For some extra practice check these links:
