Hope you have no superstitions about number "13", cause this is our 13th class and blog entry.
Today we´ve been practising a lot asking questions and answering about other people´s daily routines:
What time does Sally get up?
When does she get home?
Katie doesn´t work in an office, she works at home.
Don´t forget about your intonation when we´re correcting somebody´s statement:
She doesn´t work in an office, she works at home.
Also we did some pronunciation exercises. Remember how we read "ou" - like /au/, /a/ and /u:/ (house, touch, soup). You can practise listening to and pronouncing sound /au/ here.
Watch a video "Six Sounds of OU. English is Crazy" and practise all the variants of pronouncing OU.
We´ve learnt today some prepostions that go with time expressions (on Monday, in the morning, at six o´clock, in the week, at/onthe weekend etc.).
For more practice visit this webpage and do on-line exercises.
Your homework is to write 5 sentences about your friend´s daily routine using expressions with the prepositions of time.
